About USPhotoTools

USPhotoTools is a free set of tools for making photos that meet US passport, visa and green card standards. You upload a portrait, the tool crops it to 2x2 inch, sets a white background and checks the head size while you adjust it.

How it works

The face and background detection runs inside your browser. Your photo is not sent to our server. The AI model files are downloaded from a public CDN the first time you use the tool, and are then cached by your browser.

Why it is free

The site is supported by advertising. There is no login, no watermark and no limit on downloads.

What we are not

USPhotoTools is an independent service. It is not part of, and is not endorsed by, the U.S. Department of State, USCIS or any other government agency. We cannot promise that any photo will be accepted. Always check the current rules at travel.state.gov and uscis.gov.
